Meet Dr. Yang
Dr. Kevin Yang grew up in Burnaby and received his BSc Honours in Physiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from McGill University Dental School in 2018.
Dr. Yang enjoys surgical dentistry and has finished a comprehensive implant residency at BITES Institute and is enrolling in their live surgery study club. He also has extensive experience performing extractions from when he practiced in rural Yellowknife. Dr. Yang is Invisalign certified and has worked as a clinical instructor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry.
His practice philosophy is to educate his patients about their overall dental well-being and to develop meaningful and long-term relationships with patients.
Dr. Yang has spent several years serving different parts of British Columbia, from downtown Vancouver, Maple Ridge, and Kamloops to Haida Gwaii and rural Yellowknife, where he provided dental services to those without regular access to care. He is excited to serve the region of North Vancouver as part of Canyon Dental.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Yang enjoys weight training at the gym, attending spin classes, hiking, travelling, and trying different foods. Dr. Yang is bilingual and can converse fluently in English and Korean.
